DNA packing is key to fertiliziation
How DNA is packaged is very important during fertilization and embryo growth. A new study from London has found the DNA sequence that helps "unlock" the egg and make it available for fertilization. This may be why DNA fragmentation tests help to identify sperm that are unable to fertilize. If this "key" is fragmented, it cannot perform the necessary functions to fertilize and produce and ongoing pregnancy
